Friendship

As we walk trough this life

In good and in strife

We try to never be alone

To see us naked to the eyes of the world

When alone we feel so lost

So scared and frightened

So beaten by the world

So sad in our own misery

Yet in the bleakest hour

We find those that time did not devour

Those that were true

Those that we knew

We knew through good and bad

They could lift us when we were sad

The could listen with an open mind

And always close enough to find

They never ran away

They were there day after day

The support they sent

They were never spent

They showed they cared

Their soul they bared

The let us in

And will be there till the end

Never more than you do they ask

They are not hiding behind a mask

They do not judge or abuse

Our heart they never threaten to use

We call them in our hour of need

We call them when our heart does bleed

We call them friends

And they give us friendship
