When departs winters gloom
Unfolded are the nameless tombs
For seasons know no laws of reason
No concept of love or treason
When fury is set upon this earth
Tis sacred no human berth
Winds which scream and tear
Flinging lifelong treasures in the air
And pounding waves and surf
Ripping our homes from upon the turf
When the world we know is as shudder
We search the rubble for one another
Our tears of utter agony fail
Covered by the weeping wails
The time our planet here has seen
In its eyes were merely a gleam
For years numbering billions it has tossed and turned
And many lives has its engine burned
We speak of nature with beauty and power
Yet, someday our soul it will devour
Shall we stand upon this earth 100 years and count ourselves blessed
Shall our countries stand 10,000 years or less
Our history here to our limited vision seems long
To the earth we are but a note in a never ending song
