LOST IN MYSELF

Through all the pain and strife

I find a way to pursue a life

Through a heart jaded in pain

I find the strength to remain

through tragedies unto

I still remain bold

through tortures of the soul

I keep in mind my goals

though you hurt my body so

inside my heart Ill not let go

though pain pierce the spirits wall

when at an end I survive it all

I refuse to see the evil in me

the evil you always seem to see

I refuse to allow my spirit to break

when with all your heart my pride you take

for all the things the world can breed

for all the suffering and need

for all that you wish to destroy

my spirit and love is not a toy

though you try you cannot break it

through force you may never take it

though your words my burn me deep inside

I refuse to run and hide

through all that you can bring

I will survive and my spirit will sing

for in me is a power divine

one which pain can never find

one that is not open to the throng

one that is hard and strong

one on which I can always rely

one, which never passes bye

for this spirit is strong and wise

it keeps me from the hurt and lies

while you seek your dominance and wealth

I shall be safely lost inside myself
